ACTIVITIES

  1. Passenger Services by 3 (three) helicopters to various locations under Helicopter Subsidy Scheme of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India (see weekly schedule).
  2. Evacuation of serious patients from remote areas to State Capital/District HQs/Guwahati/Dibrugarh etc. for better treatment by requisition of Indian Air Force or State helicopter.
  3. Movement of dignitaries to far-flung areas by requisition of Indian Air Force or State helicopter.
  4. Arranging deployment of Indian Air Force or State helicopter during natural calamities or other exigencies like lifting of Security personnel to far flung areas during law & order problems.
  5. To develop infrastructure facilities at the helipads, landing grounds for compliance of regulatory requirements with various funding support of Central and State Government.
  6. Transportation of ration/ materials such as medicines, election items to far flung districts on SOS as requirement of the state Government by IAF/State leased helicopters.

Terms & Conditions of Helicopter Services

  • Baggage limit 10 kg per passenger.
  • Infants below 3 years are charged 10% of normal fare. Production of Birth Certificate for availing the concessional fare is mandatory.
  • Minors between 3 years and 12 years are charged 50% of normal fare. Production of Birth Certificate issued from for availing the concessional fare is mandatory.
  • No pets/animals are allowed to carry by the passengers in the helicopter service.
  • Passenger Conduct : Unruly passengers showing physical/verbal aggression or non-compliance of arms & ammunition SOP’s or any other Government instruction issued from time to time, thereby posing threat to the safety & security of the aircraft & crew/co-passengers on board shall face severe consequences as per DGCA (CAR) guidelines including flight bans from future flights & criminal charges.
  • Important Notice for Visitors: Arunachal Pradesh requires an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for non-APSTs  and PAP/RAP for foreign nations (exemptions  if any, will be applicable as per Govt norms and directives issued from time to time)Details and procedures for obtaining an ILP can be found at https://itanagar.nic.in/service/inner-line-permitilp/ & https://www.eilp.arunachal.gov.in/ .
