To provide air-connectivity by means of Arunachal Pradesh Helicopter Services under MHA’s Helicopter Subsidy Scheme to various remote areas including Tawang, Mechuka, Vijaynagar etc. with connectivity to the State Capital and Guwahati & Mohanbari airports to ease the difficulties being faced by commuters, tourists and outside investors and to arrange air transport for other communication needs.And also maintain safe operation of helicopter as per directives of regulatory authorities such as DGCA, BCAS etc. Also to implement Regional Connectivity Scheme-UDAN introduced by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India for improvement of regional air-connectivity by fixed wing and rotary wing. The Department also envisages induction of small fixed wing aircrafts under State air-connectivity scheme by using the recently developed Tezu airport and other Advanced Landing Grounds at Pasighat, Ziro, Mechuka, Tuting etc. for improving the air-connectivity facility in the land locked state.
